Grade 6

POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for maintaining all mechanical operations at the Headquarters site and select district offices.

NATURE AND SCOPE

  • This role does not manage people

  • This role reports to this job: MANAGER, FACILITIES

Necessary Contacts: In order to effectively fulfill this position the incumbent must be in contact with:

All levels of personnel.

Any vendors for equipment/maintenance services and outside contractors.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Work Experience

  • 2 years of building maintenance experience to include HVAC experience is required

  • Electrical and plumbing experience required

Skills and Abilities

  • Manual dexterity and mechanical skills are required and/or completion of vocational technical courses in various areas of building maintenance is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

  • None Required

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for maintaining all buildings and equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable work environment conducive to a highly productive atmosphere.

  • Responsible for office relocations and reconstructions to provide employees with appropriate and functional work space.

  • Maintains contact with management personnel in the building to ensure that maintenance requests are handled promptly and to management satisfaction.

  • Support maintenance lead and fulfill “ad hoc” project duties as assigned to ensure the maintenance lead has a “back up”, and to address any “emergency” tasks that could interfere with successful daily operations.

  • Physical effort is required to lift, hold, and carry objects up to 45 pounds, occasionally.
